How can I stop frequent nose bleeds?

Question:
I get nose bleeds about 6 or 7 times a day. I have gone to the doctor, but all she did is give my Singulair, an allergy medication which hasn't really helped. Is there any kind of over the counter medication I could use or some home remedy?

Answers:
I use saline Gel. Its like vasiline you put in your nose. It has stopped mine. I also was told not to blow my nose and especially not to pick it. Also get a humidifier for night time.
When my cousin was a teenager, he eventually had a small operation to fix that.
A drug is not going to stop nosebleeds. You really need to get a second opinion. Did you go to an autorhinolaerengologist or just a family doctor? I would ask a specialist.

Good luck.
I used to get frequent nose bleeds as well. I went to my doctor and he quarterized them. Not exactly sure of what it entailed, but they kinda freeze dried my nose or something. It wasnt painfull and it eleminated my problem. Ask your doc
stop snorting coke. could be it ? maybe?
Citrus bioflavonoids will strengthen yor blood vessels and that should help.

Besides weak blood vessels, high blood pressure and sinus problems could be another cause.
