Having uric acid?
Question:
Answers:
The cure for too much acidity is an alkaline diet. Try a Yahoo search for "alkaline diet".
You don't say if the uric acid level is abnormally high or low. A high level often produces GOUT, a type of arthritis. This can be cause by too much purine-rich foods (organ meats, sardines, and several other fish, and game), and high fructose intake (high-fructose corn syrup used in soft drinks). Sometimes a high level is hereditary, but not necessarily problematic.
Low uric acid is found in vegetarians, and also among those with Multiple Sclerosis. Too much copper, and too little vitamin B2 can cause low uric acid.
Either way, examine your diet for too many purine-rich foods, and too much fructose. If you are vegetarian increase the amount and types of legumes, and wheat bran that you eat. If you take a multivitamin/mineral supplement you might change to a vitamin only supplement. Otherwise examine your environment for copper contamination, for example in the form of aquarium chemicals, and certain insecticides and fungicides.
