Why do I look taller than what i really am.?

I dont get it. Why do i look taller than 5'6-5'5 people when i'm their height.

May be it is about your posture. You must have a good posture, I guess. A lot of people forget about posture and maybe your aunt and people around you have bad posture. That's why you apprear taller than they are while you are not actually. Sitting, standing and walking straight with your shoulder upward and keeping your back straight makes you look taller than you actually are. So I suggest you keep it up if you have good posture. That's good.
You are too self conscious. Who cares how tall you are?

Maybe becuz ur very skinny? skinny people always look taller then what they really are.
Maybe you have longer legs. I'm exactly the same height as my husband and I look a lot taller because my legs are longer. My waist is a lot higher than his. It could also be that you are thinner. That makes you appear taller as well.

1 inch I could see, but people mistaking you for 3 inches taller? No.

bec i think u have longer limbs, and the assymetry of ur body are just right, in their right proportions, sepcially the legs part and the arms. ur lucky to have such a good height at 5 ft 5, i think thats a good height for women, not too talll and not short at all.
Re-measure. The other thing is that skinny makes you look taller just like fat makes you look shorter in alot of cases.
Who is telling you about your height anyways? I can see a difference in 3 inches.
Because your thin, or at least I am assuming your thin. a 200 pound 5"5 female standing next to a 150 pound, 5"5 female will look shorter.
I don't know why thin looks taller, it just does.
Height is probably one of the things that most people have trouble guessing correctly. It depends on hair (does your hair stand up) - do you tend to stand up straight - maybe your aunt slumps a little - and depending on her age she might have shrunk an inch.
Body type is also a factor - do you have long legs or a long neck - it can make you seem taller.
hey, so what ifu look taller. being tall is fun :) haha. and has a lot of benefits, look in another point of view, imagine how desparate the short ones wants to be tall. be thankful of ure height. its not that ure ugly being tall in fact u look beautiful.

Perhaps your aunt is shrinking and hasn't been measured in awhile. Perhaps you have miss measured. The thinner a person is the taller they look. Perhaps your posture is better than your Aunts. Good posture makes a person appear taller.
Perhaps you should have someone in your family measure you again and the rest of your family members just for fun.
