Taking an anti-histamine for red, flushed cheeks?

Question:
I have heard that if you take a anti-histamine it will help through out the day with red, flushed cheeks. I often get red, flushed cheeks after having a few drinks on a friday night :) also when I work out at the gym. Does anyone know if this helps? Thanks :)

Answers:
The type of redness you describe sounds like rosacea and if it is an antihistamine will not help. It will just make you super-tired especially after a few drinks.

Google rosacea. It's facial flushing and Alcohol and exercise are the two most common triggers.
I don't know if they'll help but I do know they'll make you sleepy- especially if you mix them with alcohol. I think flushed cheeks look cute but if you feel uncomfortable about it maybe you could try a little makeup. I know Physicians Formula makes correcting make-up to cover redness.
