A QUESTION FOR DOCTORS AND BALLERINAS...my toes turn blue!!?

Question:
today i noticed that when i got out of the swimming pool my toes and the tops of my feet were blue. it didn't go away for a half hour. i was wondering why that might be. could it have something to do with me doing pointe ballet? it only turns blue where the gel pad goes over my toes inside the vamp...i'm not worried about my feet. just wondering whats up!!

Answers:
could be Raynaud's disease. its pretty common. check out this site it lists symptoms. but it could also be from your shoes being to tight.

sorry but this is real funny
what ru stich
It sounds like you may be tying them on so tight you are cutting off circulation to your toes. You should be worried if this is the case. Cutting off the circulation for more than 15 minutes will cause necrosis (tissue death).
it is dangerous maybe, see your doctor urgently. If you can move your toes then it is good.Go now to the hospital!
It is because your toes are not getting enough oxygen. When in a pool, your temperature drops and so your body sends the heated blood to more important organs, heart, liver etc. You may also notice your lips and hands turn blue!

Flexing them and heating them up is a good way to take care of this, but don't worry it's normal.
blue means no right amount of oxygen;less circulation of blood in that place
Pointe makes your toes and nails bloody. So i guess the blue is the blood. Expect your toenails to fall off eventually, and so i think it is pretty normal. Well at least it happens to my friend all the time and she takes pointe. but i don't personally take dance, but i do know that her toenails turn colors and bleed.
umm i think that you should stop or somethin cuz it sounds dangerous comin from those other comments!
