I have to have a 3mm piece of glass removed from my head in minor surgery. What will they do?

3mm is a very tiny peace of glass, they will only get the glass out of your head and cut you a little to clean the area and make sure nothing strainge will stay.

Minor incision under local anaesthetic and remove it with tweezers, if it's not too deep you shouldn't require a stitch.
they will tell you step by step before hand if you ask. being minor I would guess open the site remove the glass ans close the wound.
Probably give you a local anaethetic and pick it out but it really depends on where exactly the glass is. I wouldn't worry about it though.
