What helps with sunburn?

My nose and some of my face got sunburned. And now it's starting to burn what can i do to help with that?

Put some Noxzema on it and that will cool it down and help with the sunburn.

aloe vera will help cool the burning feeling and help it to heal more quickly.
Use a sunscreen with a sun protection factor ( SPF ) of 15 or higher. Apply to the skin whenever you go outside or ride in the car, apply it to all exposed areas 30' before going outside, repeating the procedure as often as possible, specially if you are swimming or perspiring. Make sure you buy a sunscreen that contains protection against both UVA and UVB rays.

Eat lots of lean, and high quality protein foods. Also include raw fruits to supply the vitamins and minerals needed.

Drink plenty of fluids to keep your body hydrated, and to replace the lost by the sunburn.

To relief a sunburn pain apply over the affected area cool water compresses or fill a bathtub with cold water and dissolve one pound of baking soda or oatmeal in it. Soak in the bath for 30' approximately, until you feel relieve.

Wash the affected area with an antibacterial soap to prevent secondary infection.

Do not burst any blister. They form a natural protection to help the skin sunburned to heal faster.

Do not apply any creams, butter, petroleum jelly or any other greasy substance to a sunburn. They only cause more damage by trapping the heat and can make a burn deeper.

The sunburn will heal faster if left exposed to the air.

Apply aloe vera or vinegar on the affected skin; it will stop inflammation and pain.

Avoid products made from benzocaine, lidocaine and petroleum jelly.

Rub mustard oil on the affected skin and allow to it dry, this will take out the heat from the skin.

Cut fresh cucumber slices and rub them on the affected area.

Before taking bath, add some baking powder to the bath water, this will help to soothe the burnt skin.

Apply lavender oil or peppermint oil on the burnt skin.

Apply apple cider vinegar to the burnt skin using cotton ball. Take herbal bath; put few drops of chamomile and lavender essential oils in bath water.

Take epsom salt or ice compress.

Grate some potatoes and apply them on the burnt skin. Starch from the potatoes will soothe the burn.

Take vitamin E and vitamin C diet
Antioxidants like vitamin E and vitamin C are very helpful in curing sunburn. Hence include vitamin E and vitamin C in your diet.

Tomato is a good antioxidant.

Eat good quality protein foods like meat, egg, fish, chicken and so on. Eat lots of fruits. They will supply essential vitamins and minerals.
this happens to me all the time, what I do is that same day after I have been in the sun, before I go 2 sleep you put petroluem jelly on the sunburn areas. In the morning it won't hurt anymore. It really helps, good luck!
