Question:
I had one removed about 6 years ago. The Dr said after it was removed, I would start getting my periods back (they stopped because the tumor messed up my hormone). My periods never came back. The blood test still runs high, and I need a MRI to see if the tumor is growing back ( the Dr said it was a 50% chance it could grow back, but if they do it is usually slow). The problem is I don't have medical insurance and MRIs are very costly. Also I have claustrphobia and I really freak out when I had them before. I was justing wondering if anyone has had these before and was willing to share thei story and infotmation. Thanks for your help

Have they removed your pituitary or part of it. If removed you should be on replacement therapys. If your body is not working properly maybe the dosage is not quite right.
I am not a Dr, just someone who has had a pituitary tumor. Mine was a Prolactinoma which was treated with medicine firstly and then surgery in 1991.My pituitary was not removed so was still working , gradually over the years it was not producing enough of some hormones. I now take thyroid, hrt and steroids to help make up the loss.
