When a drug company mentions a date, they usually say THROUGH; if they don't say it, it's still so. Through, if you have a dictionary, means all the way to the end of. The "expiration date", which is estimated by the manufacturer, is the statement to the customer and the government that the drug will maintain its described strength and effectiveness AT LEAST that far. It is likely to last further, because unlike Cinderella's coach, it does not magically change into something worthless at a time on the clock or the calendar (How could it?). Many drugs are good for YEARS after the expiration date, and NONE are harmful after that date, or the government would REQUIRE a warning. There are NO SUCH WARNINGS.

I would give it till August 31. In fact, most drugs are good up to 6 months AFTER their expiration dates. The only drug you DON'T want to take after the expiration date is tetracycline...it causes kidney damage as the drug breaks down.
