Is it true u can't drink milk when u get ur tongue pierced for the first month ?

Question:
my friend told me idk if i believe him

Answers:
no that is not true. the only things you need to avoid are smoking and spicy food as these things make the piercing more susceptible to infection.
the person who pierced your tongue should know the answer to this question. i don't remember being told that tho. keeping clean with listerine and glyoxide will help it heal properly.
I fail to see the danger, but it can't hurt to avoid it. The only potential problem i could see is if any milk gets stuck in the hole and rots or something- not good. Really, I'd recommend drinking water to help wash the piercing and avoid excessive sugar or other things getting trapped in it.
