My dad has a drk brown spot that gets bigger and bigger under is left breast bone.Does anyone know what it is?

Question:
he is getting more of them from his neck down but only one or two.

Answers:
He should go to the doctor...dont wait because it could get serious
Sounds like a mole of some kind and since it is changing he needs to go see a dermatologist ASAP to rule out Melanoma.
Sounds serious he could have an infection or some type of disease. He needs to see a dermatologist.
A friend of mine had a large brown spot . I thought it looked harmless. He went to a dermatologist and it turn out to be precancerous basil cell type cancer. I certainly hope it is not melanoma because if it is he is in deep trouble. See a dermatologist right away.
Your dad needs to go to the doctor ASAP!! It could be a skin cancer, like several here have already suggested. It could be breast cancer. It's not very common, but men do get breast cancer.

But I agree with the others here who have already answered - he needs to get to the doctor because that's at least TWO possibly fatal situations and each would require different treatments!!
I think its skin cancer. Please go to the doctors immediately... its important to check it out.

Here's some info I found:

Skin cancer is the most common type of all cancers. One in five Americans will get skin cancer at some point in their lifetime. But even with so many people affected, there is good news — skin cancer is almost always curable if caught early.

There are three main types of skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and malignant melanoma.

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common of the three and hardly ever spreads to other parts of the body, but can grow to large sizes and become locally destructive. It usually occurs on the face and may look like a pink mole, a pimple, or a pearly-colored bump.

Squamous cell carcinoma is most often found on sun-exposed areas and can look like a rough patch of skin or a red scaling bump. If left untreated, squamous cell carcinoma can spread to other parts of the body.

Malignant melanoma, the third most common type of skin cancer, is the most serious type of skin cancer and accounts for 75 percent of all skin cancer-related deaths.
...--(diff. site)--...These malignant tumors originate in melanocytes. These are the cells that produce melanin, the pigment that colors our skin, hair and eyes. Some melanomas develop from old moles and some from new. Moles have a lot of melanin in them, so most are black or brown. Sometimes a melanoma stays dark, but if it stops producing melanin, it may change color and be skin-colored, pink, red, purple, or a combination of any of these colors.
Skin cancer if he is in the sun alot
sarcoma. please have him checked for skin cancer. there are many different forms of skin cancer. the sooner it's caught, the better your chances are for a cure. you need to see a dermatologist as soon as possible.
Have him check out by the skin doctor. It might be his liver, or something else. I really don't want to scar you, but have him checked out and make sure.
I am afraid I don't know what it is but its Best for your dad to seek medical advice as soon as possible,I hope everything is ok good luck.
Yes, he's becoming a black guy. The opposite of what Michael Jackson went through.
