Zounds hearing aids?
Question:
Answers:
I worked for a non profit organization which provided services for the deaf and hard of hearing community for four years and I never heard of Zounds. The have a website, but neither the fact that they have a website or that I never heard of them means anything, ti could be a good product, it could be junk.
They are however dispensed through Audiologists and medical professionals, which is a good sign.
Try to contact your nearest non profit deaf/hard or hearing organization, they often receive funds through local United Way chapters.
You can also contact the League for the Hard of Hearing in New York, the oldest non profit for deaf and hard of hearing in the US and renown throughout the world.
DO NOT BUY hearing aides because of the price. You need to have your childs audiologist recommend which brand is best suited for your childs hearing loss and needs. You cannot just buy any old hearing aid and expect it will be OK for your sons hearing loss. Only your audiologist can make this recommendation.
I have never heard of Zounds, but I can tell you of a very excellent web site that repairs hearing aids rather than buying a new one. I have used them twice, once for repairing an aid over 25 years old, someone gave me and just recently when I accidentally put my new digital one through the washer and dryer. Both times I was told by others they couldn*t be fixed.
. You send a check for $159.00 if they cannot fix it they don*t cash the check the work is guaranteed.
Check them out. It*s LilliElectronics.com
I f the spelling is wrong, go to Google and type in hearing aids and look for the correct spelling.
