How can I get my husband to stop using chewing tobacco?

Question:
I can't stand the way it looks, it is bad for his health, his teeth are turning yellow, it is expensive and I think it is a poor example for our son. He says he wants to quit but doesn't seem to try. He did not chew when I married him. Help- it is so gross!

Answers:
Easy - just say no to sex!
tell him you hate it, and that you will not live with that. tell him you are concerned for his health. if he wanted to quit, he would have taken measures to do so. talk to your son about it as well. he might be able to talk to his father, depending on his age. he needs to WANT to quit. nothing else will change that. don't kiss him anymore. i told my husband that i don't date people who smoke. that was right before we started dating, and he smoked a lot. he quit cold-turkey, because he cared more about me than smoking. if your husband cares about you and his family, he'll quit.
I use to dip snuff and just recently quit. The best way would probably be to throw out the chew he has and buy some herbal snuff. To help me quit I dipped Smokey Mountain herbal snuff it has no tobacco or nicotine so it's safe. Another thing that works is to chew gum or sunflower seeds. Tell him that he has your support for quitting. I think if he tries hard enough he will be able to quit.

You can find Smokey Mountain at most grocery stores and here's the website for more information.
