Heart pain....please please look?

Question:
I'm 16 and i have heart pains a couple times a month. I have had these pains for about a year, but yesterday the heart pain was horrible. It comes on suddenly and there's a really sharp pain when i breathe too deeply or if i exhale too much, so i have to take really shallow breaths and i get dizzy and lightheaded. The heart pain usually lasts for about 10-15 minutes, sometimes more. I have mitral valve prolapse. Could that be why i'm having these heart pains? if not...What could be wrong?

Answers:
Such pain really need to be checked up by a specialist doctor as soon as possible for you to have a complete physical and laboratory examinations, cause your mitral valve prolapse could be a contributory factor or the main cause. It would also be advisable to stop doing things that requires a lot of energy, have rest.
Please see a doctor. If you can't afford one, check with your local county health department.
You should see a doctor immediately. A year ago I had open heart surgery for mitral valve repair and I firmly believe that only a doctor should answer your question.
Of course the MVP could be causing it. But, is it that which is causing your pain? We wouldn't know for sure. You need to discuss theses issues with your doctor. They may want to place a monitor on you, and see what is causing them. Please see your doctor!
