How do you ease the pain of gallstones?

Question:
I'm in misery... I have stones and my galbladder is acting up... it's more than 48 hours till I see my surgeon...

Answers:
ugh... this brings back some terrible memories I had mine removed about 5 years ago I am 34 now so I was fairly young. In the end and it sounds like you are close to it all I can suggest is the good old hot water bottle and pain relief it does not stop the pain but it does have a soothing affect, stay on the couch or in bed dont stress out or eat any dairy or fatty foods, it got to the point for me that I just couldnt eat and spent many nights in a hot bath or shower making my self vomit to get a tiny bit of relief. All the best to you goodluck for surgery, I hope this helps..
have you asked about painkillers til your surgery? you should not have to be in such pain for 48 more hours!go to the ER and tell them you cannot not take it anymore!better yet, let someone take you there ---enter in a wheel chair or just have some very caring person pick you up ...and moan and cry!
Consult your family doctor immediately. He will arrange urine by-pass tube.

Or enter the Emergency Ward at the Hospital.

No home remedies.
