It will never be SAFE...you might not get pregnant but you'll still be able to get STI's & STDs
technically, it should be about 1-2 days after, but it is best to wait longer to make sure but also there is still the risk of infection unless you and your lover have been tested for STD

i believe pills are taken after sex and not before it... pills taken before sex are the likes of viagras.
why not try other contraceptive methods. a johnny cap perhaps...
I am sure i had to wait 2 weeks when my wife started her pill
it is abt one mnth b4 it starts to work. and as long as she is taking there is no problem. the day she misses there is a window open for her to get pregnant. each pill only works 24 hrs. and during her periods is a no-no. she doesnt take any during that time, only iron pills

Dan is correct, the usual time is 2 weeks to ensure the pill has reached therapeutic levels. Only have unprotected sex if she is your one and only partner and you are her one and only partner.

it depends when she starts to take it. if she starts taking it on the first day of her period then she is protected after one/two days, if she starts taking it after the first day of her period then its seven days.
If you are talking about casual sex, it is never safe. If you are in a long term relationship it is reasonably safe after you've finished your next period. But remember the pill is not 100% safe either. Good Luck.
