What should i do i am having a sleeping problem?

Try getting plenty of exercise, but not within an hour of trying to sleep. Avoid caffeine. Try warm milk. Avoid lots of sugar. Try to meditate before sleeping. Don't read or watch anything on TV that is too stimulating just before bed. Try earplugs and an eye mask. If you still can't sleep, try something like Melatonin or Valerian.
If none of this helps, don't just ask your doc for a sleep drug. See a specialist to make certain you don't have a sleep disorder, such as apnea, that needs to be treated.
Good luck!
You don't say if you've just had one or two sleepless nights or if you've had this problem for a while. Do you know what's causing the problem? Could it be stress of some kind in your life right now ( a new job, different schedule, family problems, etc)? If that's the case, you need to deal with those issues first, because if you've got something like that on your mind, it will often interfere with your sleep.
If you don't know what's causing it then the following suggestions may help. I know some of this may sound feminine to a guy, but it should work for you.
An hour or so before bed, ( the timing doesn't matter, as long as it's close to bed time) take a warm shower, bath or better yet, a bubble bath. Use a relaxing scent like lavender or Dove's new soap ( I can't think of the name, but it's in a dark blue box). If you like music while you're in the bathtub, try something soothing; instrumental music, or someone like Michael Buble or Norah Jones is good, some of the jazz music or soft rock is good, as long as it's not really upbeat music that you might normally dance to.
Finally, just before bed, try a cup of hot cocoa or hot decaffienated tea. Another thing you could do is, after your bath, put on whatever you sleep in, curl up in bed or a favorite comfy chair, and read for a while. Pick something you like, that you can get into, but not something that will scare you.
Any combination of the steps I listed should help your brain shut down for the day and make it easier to sleep.
For other ideas, go to www.webmd.com and look up "sleep".
They have several other suggestions.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Try altering things slowly.
1. If the bedroom is pitch black, add a little light.
2. Have a small snack before bed. (not cheese)
3. If the bedroom has a lot of light coming in try to eliminate some of it.
4. Try turning your bed round 45 degrees and if no joy 90 degrees. No change turn it another 45 degrees.
5. Dependent on age, have a small sherry before bed.
6. Shake the snake till it is sick, then go to bed.
7. Go to bed at a different time of day.
8. If it is quiet add a bit of noise, radio on very low.
9. If it is noise put cotton wool in your ears to mute the sound.
10. Try sleeping on the floor or sitting in a comfy chair, but not slouching down, sit upright.
Vary the combinations and you will find one will work.

watch boring tv show, movie, reading, or do homework. Trust me homework always get me to sleep. If u don't have homework do ur work-work. Or u can ask somebody in ur family to sing a lullaby. The most useful way to get to sleep is to count sheep or count ur favorite things such as money
Maybe you drink to much coffee or cola drinks or eat chocolate late afternoon? Then all you need is to eliminate caffeine intake. You can also find some herbal teas with chamomile that can help you to relax your body. Glass of wine may also help. I wouldn't drink wine every night though, maybe on the weekends.
