My doc/therapist was transferred 2 another facility. I don't make those kinds of adjustments easily. I'd rather keep the same doc. She insist that it is against policies 2 transfer patients. That I must except a new doc. I don't want 2 do that. She said she would email me. However, it has been 2 weeks and there has been no email. I have checked evey day and nothing. I am going through all kinds of anxiety attacks. The thought of seeing a new doc is driving me nuts. My folks say I'm becoming unbearable. How do I get my doc back?
Answers:
You can't force your old doctor to see you again but you don't have to just "accept the new doctor"
It's YOUR health and YOUR body, if you can't get your old doctor to see you then look for a new one.
Another possibility is to find a new doctor, go to them for 6 months or so, then go back to your old doctor telling him/her that you're no longer a patient of the old facility.
