What is the best herbal cure for insomnia?

Question:
Had sleeping problems for years sleeping tablets dont agree with me so is there any other herbal way to help me fall asleep.

Answers:
Valerian, Ashwagandha and herbs like Brahmi are excellent remedies for insomnia. The pills make the condition worse. In my opinion, they dry up the brain nerves and also the whole body, ultimately leading to depression, lack of memory and concentration. i would recommend you a website www.planetayurveda.com and you can ask the consultants free of cost there.
ask ur doc for melotonin
Laudanum
Using aromatherapy, including jasmine oil, lavender oil, Mahabhringaraj and other relaxing essential oils, may help induce a state of restfulness.
I too have spent many a sleepless night. Then I found out about an amino acid called Tryptophan. It is the amino acid that is found in milk and turkey, and you know how those make you sleepy. LOL
I started taking it and I loved the results. The only thing that I noticed was that I had extremely vivid dreams and lots of color...not a bad thing. :-)
chamomile tea will help.
drink a bottle of wine (if you are 21 yrs old that is) in front of the tv. it always helps me. doing hard work or working out during the day will also help...
Wait till you're really sleepy before you go to bed. Also, try excercising later in the day say 6pm or later and get yourself tired. I used to sleep well after a raquetball game, never failed. I tried melatonin once and it had the reverse effect and I figured that chemically induced sleep was not for me...
I use Kalms Sleep - they contain Lettuce extract, Valerian & Hops.

All of them are sleep inducers (Lettuce is actually the most potent!) but when I take all of them in this tablet - it guarantees at least 4 hours undisturbed sleep (4 more than I was getting before!) and NO sleeping tablet "hangover" either
I am delighted that sleeping pills do not agree with you, since it only takes three pills taken 3 nights in a row for some people to be hooked. There are few herbal drugs that are of much use either.

Best option, don't read, watch TV or exercise for at least 30 minutes before retiring. Take a warm caffeine free drink before bed. You could also try lavender oil either on the pillow or in a bath which is fairly sedative.
There is olny one lavender oil or water afew drop on your pillow should have you sleeping sound
Definitely yes, there are other herbal way to help you fall asleep and the best herbal cure for insomnia is using an all natural sleep aid cream product like Sleep So Good because it contains a melatonin substance that our body produces and combined with sleep aid herbs, melatonin can give you a good night's sleep and leave you feeling refreshed when it's time to get up. So if you want to know more about the product just try to find it here http://www.sleepsogood.com.
Lavender.
Actually, Boots sell Lavender sleep spray (by Radox), it used to knock my ex boyfriend, also an insomniac out in no time. Just spray a little on your pillow before dozing of to sleep. They also do a bath one, too. Try it. xxx
