Check for sinuses, allergies, ear infections.
Can prescribe a medication for some kind of depression such as prozac.
Is there a name for a doctor who does all of these things and also more? Or do you go to different doctors for all different things?
How do you go about finding a doctor to help you with most of these certain things?
Answers:
try going to either a practitioner nurse or a physician assistant...they usually take care of all of that and any other questions that you will have.
Good Luck!!
A general Practitioner (GP) can do all of those except the Women's checkeup. Only OB/GYNs do that.
General Practitioner, and YES they do women's check ups such as pap smears and they even deliver babies. You don't have to see a psychiatrist for depression meds they can prescribe those too.
Actually many General Practitioners can do women's exams.
Different doctors.
A GP or General Practitioner does a variety of diagnosis and usually family care. Although most can do PAP smears and the like.
An Obstetrician Gynecologist or OBGYN deals specifically with female related care as well as pregnancy issues and birth control.
Sinus allergies, etc. see an ENT ear nose and throat specialist.
Your Gen Practitioner can prescribe many things or refer you to someone that deals with your specific needs.
For depression, you'll need to see a psychiatrist. They can get you situated on the right medication for your particular needs. It may take some time depending on how severe your depression is. So be patient.
Try: http://www.lifeworks.org You can click on individual care.
Look in your local yellow pages under the blue section in the front for your county that you live in. They will list the counties and health care clinics and possibly providers in that county.
I see a county clinic doctor for GP things.
Good luck. hope this helps.
