Has anyone had a mole removed recently? I'm removing a "beauty mark" from my upper lip that is still ok to look at but I have noticed that is has grown in the last couple of years. My question is how bad is the scar that is left behind and was it worth removing a mole that you thought could be detrimental or grow over sized?

I had a mole removed from my back some years ago. A dermatologist took it off. There was a small scar, but now it is not noticeable at all. I'm glad I had it done. It was relatively painless and the healing was very easy.
depending on how deep they have to go. if its superficial then the scarring should be minimal. if it's deeper, then you might be able to see the scar but it won't be huge. it's better to get moles removed. they will biopsy it anyway to make sure it's not cancerous.
