What's the difference between an endobronchial stent and an endobronchial valve?
Question:
Answers:
A stent is placed in the narrowed area to enable reaonable flow without clotting etc, a valve is used to control flow to or from the lungs.
A stint is placed inside the artery to reduce clogs, and a valve is actually connected to the heart and acts as a "coupling" for the artery and the heart. The valve is used for patients with a heart valve failure, where as a stint is used for people with clogged arteries.
I think you can't find a code because an endobronchial valve doesn't exist. Ring up the scrub nurse in charge of that theatre and ask her what operation really happened.
