I read your body wakes up when its had enough sleep?
if this is true... when you wake up can you get up? even though you may feel lazy and want to sleep more.. is it okay to get up? as you have had enough sleep?

Answers:
Your body receives chemical signals from your brain that send the message that the toxins have been removed from your body and you have had adequate sleep.
However, as you get older, the chemicals get extremely senile and they start to wake you up at all hours.
actually your body it's self can go without sleep.when we get tired it is actually our brain that needs the rest so that it can process all that was seen and heard throughout the day
your body also responds to light. when your body is ready to go to sleep, its responds to how much light is present. melatonin signals your body to go to sleep. we also have a biological clock that signals the body when to wake up. if you get at least 7-8 hours of good sleep, then it is fine to wake up.
The reticular activating center and the pons of the brain control wakefulness. When it's on, you're awake. If either is damaged, the person will be in perpetual sleep.
We wake-up by habit, when our body has had enough, or when something wakes us up (alarm clock). You may be awake and not want to get up.
Generally, 7-8 hours is considered adequate for a normal adult. Less than that causes 'sleep debt', where the body then tries to catch-up by making you tired the next day. Sleep debt can be slept-off. You can catch-up on your sleep, if you are running behind in it. The problem is that you would be experiencing increasing tiredness before you caught-up. All sorts of accidents and lost productivity happen because people don't get enough sleep.
The trouble with sleep medicine is that it's a relatively new field. There are many aspects that remain poorly understood. Sometimes the explanation is that things happen because they do. That could be all the information available about some sleep activities.
Your body is very wonderfully
made...that's why you should
not abuse it.
If you go to bed and get up
at pretty regular hours, your
body will set its own clock.
It has to do with melatonin
that puts you to sleep when
it gets dark and the light of
day that reaches your eyes.
This is also another hormone
but I can't remember its name. Your stomach also wakes you up because your
body needs food. that's also
why you should not skip breakfast.
