Isn't it odd that I am suicidal , though yet at the same time , I am terrified of HIV and Cancer?

I think its odd that you have concidered this if you are suicidal...
I don't think its odd... HIV and Cancer will kill you but they are painful ways to die... Also, they have negative stigmas. People who catch HIV are often times tought to be responisble for their illness...and people who get cancer are often considered helpless.
So there is both a pratical and a psychological reason why you (and most of us) would not want to get HIV nor Cancer.

everyone is afraid of cancer and HIV ...everyone in the world is cuz no one wants to go through that experience in there life...but if your suicidal u should talk to a psychiatrist...good luck sweetie!!
Anything is possible when you have chemical issues going on inside your brain.
Discuss it with a Psych. An M.D. Because you will need some meds. You will see the world in perspective.
Believe me because I have been there. Bite the bullet. Get professional help.

If you were truly suicidal, you wouldn't be living, you may be unhappy with your life, where it's going, and your current situations, but you don't want to die, because if you did want to die, you would. And it's good that you aren't because, you can always make something of your life, no matter where or what you want, it just takes work.
Back to the question, HIV and cancer, are crippling diseases and a very real threat to many people, if maybe 50% of the people in your neighborhood were getting shot on a regular basis, then you would be afraid of that.
When something touches home-base with most people, it scares them a lot more than just hearing about it.
in short: You probably aren't severely suicidal (good thing), HIV and cancer, touch home with you on a very real basis, therefore scaring you.

everybody understands, and you do as well. sometimes life gets unbearable for a lot of us. most manage to "man up" and trudge through until something good happens to make it better. even when we talk of feeling suicidal, we have preferences, always. nobody would want to die of the multitude of miseriess brought on by aids. i fear snakes and cannot understand why cleopatra choose to die by adder bite. even though i understand scientifically it is a smart choice. would hate to die by falling off the empire state building because i like being up in a plane put have a terrible fear of falling. you will live a lot longer. you have a choice about hiv and cancer. don't do anything that is a risk. if you don't already have it, then, you never will. but fears don't necessarily obey logic. anyway, lol.
