Why are my ankles puffy?

Question:
I have no other swelling on feet, hands, anywhere. Just a squishy bump slightly in front and below my ankle. It looks nasty and more important, is it an indication of something wrong? I eat healthy food and practice yoga almost everyday. I should drink more water.

Answers:
Wow you have the same problem I have, it,s only one ankle, my left one, it only swells after being on my feet all day. I went to the doctor for it, cause I thought maybe it was water retention, turns out its from over use, it,s a muscle issue, kinda like carpel tunnel, only in the ankle, Its weird, and it does,nt hurt, its just ugly. Do you wear high heal shoes? I do all the time, and I think that its making it worse? I also eat healthy and practice yoga, this is the 1st time anything health wise has ever gone wrong with me and to tell ya the truth I was a little scared, I still kinda am, but I also realize that its not gonna kill me its just ugly. Hope I was a bit of help, take care Penelope. P.S I do recomend you see your doctor just in case its something more serious
You could be retaining water.. Check with your doctor
You should go to your family doctor for an initial evaluation. He could then determine if you need to see a specialist such as a dermatologist, heart specialist, urologist, allergist, etc.
It's probably nothing very serious but see a doctor anyway because it's never wise to ignore strange symptoms in your body.
