Why do I get nauesous when I read?

Question:
It's getting to be quite annoying but whenever I read for long periods of time (shortest being two hours) I get headaches and start feeling nauseous. I also feel very tired. It's not motion sickness as I'm usually in a room reading and only happens when I'm reading books (books on word as well). Does this happen to anyone else? What is it?

Answers:
two possilble reasons for this..

1. you dont blink enough wich wets the eye and causes strain to the sight wich causes headache and tummy ache.

2. you need to have your eyes checked maybe you need glasses and so your eyes are working way to hard to focus on the words and therefore causing the simptoms you state.

Good luck :)
It's the same way for me...I don't know why this happens, but I just try to avoid reading that long. If I do start to feel ill while reading, I put my book down and go do something else - the sick feeling passes. No clue what it is, though.
You need a vision test, I used to be the same way, now I wear contact lens, and they're great.

gee, I love it when people read my answer, and then repeats it as they're own idea, how unique of them huh?
maybe you need glasses hun!
the same thing happened to me when i got my glasses.

See before i got glasses i couldnt see far away but i could see close up, but whenever i read for long amounts of times it'd get blurry when i looked away from the book.

when i got my glassses my eyes needed to adjust to having them, now im fine

i recommend getting your eyes tested, it could help you. You might be farsited and struggling to read
