Without examination I can't be sure, but it sounds like you have a conditioned refered to as being "pigeon chested".
Do not lose heart Chest deformities occur in 1 in every 300 children. Pigeon Breast (pectus carinatum) is caused when the breastbone is pushed outward. The deformity often increases in severity each year until a child reaches full growth. Surgery can correct pigeon breast and the outlook for children who have the operation is excellent. Surgery involves removal of the involved rib cartilages and repositioning of the breastbone. Surgery restores normal chest contour.
You raise a good question about yourself. You are normal, its just the way your body is made. There is no medical problem. It's just that you are self-conscious about the protruding bones. You should not feel unattractive. It's just you, we are all unique individuals.
Don't be ashamed of the way you were born. Be glad that you're healthy. Think of all the people who are WAY worse off than you. If someone notices your chest, just say "birth defect; no big deal." And leave it at that. You can't let one bone affect your life. You're very young, so believe that this is your time to have fun! If an idiot makes fun of it, just say , "Hey, this bone is sharp! Watch it!!" with a smile on your face. Don't worry about it so much. And don't be self-conscience about it. btw, If you keep being a star sports person, by the time you're 15-16, if you have a confident happy personality, the girls are actually find your "bone" intriguing. I know I would! Enjoy, kiddo!! :o)
