Nap vs sleep?

Question:
Why is it that I feel more refreshed and awake after a 2 hour nap in the day vs. feeling horrible after just 2 hours of sleep at night .. even though my sum total for the day is only 4 hours (which isn't enough) ?

Answers:
If you got only 2 hours of sleep at night, that usually means you are really stressed or you have been working hard and long on some project, which also means some type of stress. Plus you are physically tired and the body needs the rest to regenerate.

A nap during the day is generally not normal for adults (for those in their 70's and 80's it is LOL) and the nap can feel refreshing (only temporary if you have only had 2 hours the night before). The temporary rest gave you a breather to sort of catch up on the needed rest. Also it helps clear your thoughts.
its called a power nap
i know exactly how you feell. i guess it is just your mind that is telling you it needed a nap really bad and when it comes time to going to bed...well its a routine you know? naps often mean a lot more when its needed!! haha hope that helps ya!!

A refreshing nap is always good. Maybe you need to clear your mind and try to not take a nap and you may sleep better at night.
