Seroquel question pls?

Question:
My doc prescribed me 100 mg of seroquel per day now.
I want to know about the side effects from the patients who uses the same amount per day for at least six months if possible.
So if you have been using the same amount for longer time, would you mind telling me if it made you gain significant weight,or are you disturbed of any other side effects?
thnx.

Yes I sure was on that junk and just got off about a week ago. I will tell you it is induced terror. I felt awful all tight and sick gained weight, threw up, found it hard to breathe and felt very scared and tight. Then before that depresson and thoughts of suicide are very high. It was not nice Risperdal is better! Happy to be off it good luck to you my friend!

I used to be on 100mg of seroquel a day. Mine was for insomnia. I gained weight like mad and the stuff made me angry and I always had the hangover effect in the morning. When I took it I felt stoned and out of it. I hated the stuff. I went off of it without telling my doctor because I just hated the feeling of being on it. The worst was the weight gain and the ravenous appetite. I mean I couldn't control my hunger while on it. I am also on Lexapro for depression and it is great. As long as I am on the Lexapro I am fine. I still have problems with insomnia, but I would rather have bouts of not sleeping rather than take the Seroquel again. Some people love the stuff, but me personally, I despised it. The stuff made me nuts and life is better without it. Of course, this is only my experience with it and my opinion. I was also given trazadone for insomnia and I also hated it. It wasn't as horrible as the seroquel, but it made me feel weird, too. It also made me in a cranky mood jsut the same as the seroquel. I have been off the seroquel for nearly a year and I am still battling to lose the weight that I gained while on the mess. I gained about 30-40 pounds in 6-8 months. I hope you have better results from it, but I know 3 people personally that's taken Seroquel and out of the 3 only one liked it, but it was a woman who liked the nodding out feeling. So go figure. Ya know? Good luck with everything and God bless.

I have been taking 100mg for about 2 yrs now. Boy, where do I start! Well, at first I felt pretty good. I was pretty calm and if I was angry, I wouldn't really "feel it". I liked that at first but then I began to miss the old me. It's beginning to make me feel almost emotionless. Shortly after taking Seroquel, I began to develop pimples! I had never had an acne problem before and now here I am, a thirty something year old woman with zits! Then the heart palpatations started. They would just happen just out of the blue. I could be sitting still and get heart palpitations. I told my doctor and he stated that he had no known documentation that Seroquel caused acne or heart palpatations! Then my period started coming every other month. Then every 3 months. Last summer, I even stayed on for a whole month! Before Seroquel, my periods were always regular. A few months ago I began to notice that my eyesight wasn't as sharp as it used to be. I went to the eye doctor but she said that everything was fine. I need to get a second opinion. I think that I might have cataracts. My psychiatrist didn't warn me about all of this! Oh yeah, and my memory isn't as good either! After all of this you would think that I would no longer be on Seroquel but I am. I just recently purchased a drug handbook and was shocked to see that all of these symptoms were in there. As soon as these pills are gone, I am getting the heck off of Seroquel. Oh one more thing, I also get muscle spasms in my legs after walking for a while. I I hate it, it caused me such drowsiness that I was unable to drive!!
