How can I increase my energy levels or am I too old?

OLD? At 40??!!??!! Hahahahahahaha!
Naaaaaaaaaaaaah. First of all no one has energy to be outside when it's so hot. I do it but it's torture and depressing for me.
You have some depression and also lack of motivation. They're connected. It would help if you could find something to be interested in, a hobby of some sort; even regular exercise is a hobby, it will make you feel better about yourself, and you can do a lot of things without any expensive equipment. You can exercise to music or while watching tv, too. Or take some free classes at the community college and study something new to exercise your mind.
Don't bother with vitamin supplements; just be sure you get the MDR's but don't overload; even too much Vitamin C can be bad for you because it weakens the walls of the arteries. There are no miracles here, no magic pills to change your life.
I sometimes go thru a cleaning frenzy and I feel good about it but how often do you need to do it? I get energy by being interested in different things, and I never feel I have more time than I know what to do with, and I don't need to go anywhere (except in my mind).
Listen, you want to meet educated guys with good taste, etc. As one of your answerers said, you're not likely to meet them if you're not more like them. Why don't you see what kinds of free or low cost classes you can take in music or art appreciation, etc?
Hang in there.

why cant u get out to walk?
start walking after you get up and then have breakfast Vitamin B12 and ginseng are very good at increasing energy and are what my family uses to get more energy.
you could try running in the morning like at five. try eating right too. drink a lot of water.
Get your thyroid checked! It's a simple blood test to measure your thyroid horomones, and if you are hypo, you just take a pill to replace the missing horomone.
I wasn't diagnosed and felt mentally foggy and exhausted all the time. After I got the correct dosage, the difference was dramatic. I've also lost over 40 pounds, the first 35 of that was due to the horomone replacement.
The symptoms of a thyroid disorder are vague and can be mistaken for a lot of other things including "just getting old". But you will notice the difference after about 6 weeks if you get a replacement horomone and it turns out the thyroid was the problem all along. Good luck!
first. a good physical..rule out anything medical
second.question yourself.what are you eating?
third..why are you depressed? what is depressing you?because that is a leading cause of chronic fatigue..we have all been there.
