The problem is one of purity and concentration- you would have to refine the substance to purify it to the point of being feasible. In all reality smoking banana peels is like drinking HIGHLY DILUTED alcohol-sure, eventually you might get a slight buzz, but you'll probably piss your guts out/ cough up your lungs before that happens.
