Answers:
No. Depression is a mental ilness, most prominantly caused by a medical factor such as chemical imbalance. You may as well ask if getting married will cure cancer or diabetes.

Getting married is an act of love, companionship and mutual respect, trust, and compatibility.

Now, if you are marrying someone who knows about and understands your depression, and if you are seeking outside help such as therapy for your depression, then yes, it can have a positive impact. As with any chronic ilness, having the love and support of someone near to you always makes a difference.

I dont think so
Not usually. It may help for a short time but it will come back, just as bad if not worse. Best thing for depression is to talk with your doc, he/she can help, exercise and work on your self talk. It will help more than getting married.
not even
No, I believe marriage is what CAUSED my depression~ lol

No, it would not. Its best to seek treatment for your depression before planning for a marriage. Learn to relax and stay calm. Analyse problem as a problem and never let the problem get onto u. Any difficulties or problems can and will be solved, depending on the length of duration taken
man can I answer this one. IF YOU FIND A GOOD SPOUSE
YES YES YES! I was married to this one female for 23 years, I suffered headaches and depression
and had outbursts constantly.

Finally I had had enough and divorced her. A year later I re married to the nicest, smartest, kindest woman I could ever imagine, almost all my stress and anxiety dropped 90 percent.

But the opposite can be true. if you marry a real b.i.t.c.h. then it can have the opposite effect.
Not necessarily.....
Hey sweetie, I don't think that getting married will help your depression. Getting married is a lot of work and may add to your depression. I would first try to work with a counseler and then talk to your spouse about it. Getting married is nice and I feel that you should, but get counseling along with it. Well, good luck!! :) I hope all works out for you.
no .
It doesn't really help depression, but it's nice to have someone in you life that yo know will always be there to listen and wants to help you in anyway they can. And you have a a responsibility as a spouse to that person to take care of them and be there for them. You have a purpose when you are married. You cannot lose the purpose in your life to depression.
