therapist or social worker?

Question:
who do you think as the ability to help you a clinical social worker or a therapist. who did you see and why? i had seen a psychiastrist and i cant say she helped me much. im looking for answers not "how does that make you feel"

Answers:
I've been seeing a therapist for 16 years. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for my therapist. He has always been there for me, and now I'm able to trust him and talk to him about anything. I've seen a social worker to, but I felt she didn't have the knowledge to give me the help I need. If I was you I would give both of them a try and decide for yourself who you think would be more benefically to helping you with your problems. Social workers are more able to connect you to different resources you may need for help. A therapist is there to listen to you and try to help you work out your problems. They will talk to you and try to give you different ideas to solve your problems. Take care! Hugs! Von
You didnt mention your problem, so I cant help you.
