Is anybody willing to?
Question:
"Oh, you don't have sleep problems, you have depression, so lets give you this SSRI and an antipsychotic." Well, I'm not depressed, and antipsychotics only drains energy during awake time, it doesn't make one go to sleep any easier.
My other doctor won't respond to my questions, and eventhough I'm attached to his office because he's extremely comprehensive, I might have to search out another doctor.
Answers:
I can sympathize with your not being able to sleep, it can really drain you and interfere with your life. I think you should consider seeking out a different doctor if your not getting what you need from the one you see now. Herbal and natural remedies do often help but can be extremely costly and lose their effectiveness after a short period of use.

you should really try Yoga techniques- but under expert guidance.
I found that I had to use Melatonin in very small doses - say, 300 MICROGRAMS or so. Most stores sell Melatonin in 3 GRAM tablets, which is 10 times the dose of 300 MICROGRAMS. I bought a pill splitter to cut the larger tabs into thirds.
If I go above the very small dose, I get headaches and really disturbing dreams. At the small dose, it works great for occasional insomnia. I have no idea what would happen if I took it every day.
NOTE: I AM NOT A DOCTOR OR OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL. My experience with Melatonin is presented here for information only. SEE YOUR DOCTOR before taking any new medication or changing the ones you take,
No. You should only use the valerian or melatonin for short periods of time. Perhaps you should have an EEG or some other kind of tests to see what the problem is....
Try reading information on insomnia and realize that lack of sleep does not kill people. you'll eventually win this battle but try not to use drugs for thats not really solving it.
basically, you should have faith in one doctor, who will give you medication, and monitor the improvement. even if you feel, that particular dr. , who is comprehensive, as you say, is not listening to your questions, it's not so. they study the person from the way he reacts, talks, even the body language !
if you go on jumping from one dr. to the other, there is no end to it ! getting worked up wil not help, so be patient with the present one, have trust in him, follow his instructions carefully, and i am sure, the improvement is bound to be there. with symptomatic relief, you will feel better, and the progress will follow.
as about physical problems, so about mental problems, we can not question their diagnosis, and plan of treatment, which upsets, and offends them. instead, why don't you be more cooperative with your doctor ? that itself will take away lot of burden, you are carrying, as a result, more anxiety, more insomnia, worry, a troubled mind ? you have to help yourself, others will only assist !
ASk your doctor for Zopiclone. It is non addictive, you can't OD on it and you don't get the "hang over" effect in the morning.
I couldn't sleep but a short course of Zopiclone has put me back on track
Masterbate..I know but it worked for me..
