Basically the quote tells you that you can only grow or advance as high or as far as your dreams will take you. So to make great strides in life you must dream big. It also tells you that it is not nearly enough to dream, but you must put some sweat equity into achieving that dream.
It figures into my life through every scientific or engineering advance that man makes. The fact that I am communicating with you right now over the internet is attributable to that quote. Someone had to dream of such a great endeaver, and then had to work hard enough to carry that out.

I am 74 and my dreams were a struggle and still are but I do make them real as much as possible and I had a great life i guess it could kinda relate to life.you gain experiences and knowledge from the struggles you go through to make your dreams come true.so i agree with that quote..

My only dream as a child was to be tall and slim and blond and wear a pink and white jumpsuit like the voltron princess. I'm not sure how I would have struggled to make that happen, but since then I really haven't had any dreams to speak of. I think I mostly just react to stimuli. I guess my failure to be a blond in a pink and white jumpsuit has made me feel that all my hopes and dreams are for naught.
So, in short, that phrase no longer has a place in my life. I left it in the past with Princess Allura.

It may be true as a retrospective thought of a person who did it for many who failed, they keep on wondering why thay did not succeed despite dreaming and putting in all the heart an soul.
A successful person has many freinds and is discussed and analysed a lot and hence all these quotes become popular, lets not forget for every public success there are much larger private failures.
It falls into a lot of what I believe, and a lot of why I haven't been the person I have the potential to be. My life dreams are fleeting. I am happy with shelter, food, air, and love. I'd LIKE things like more money, my own house, to own the Washington Capitals, etc etc, but the desire for that is so light that I'm never motivated. Oh i so believe in that statement, with only one reservation, I have to know for sure its my dream, and not one i was led to believe was mine, its happened, aside from that Yes,and Yes.
