How do you get a job while you have the disabiltiy of a brain injury?
Question:
Answers:
I know exactly where you are coming from. I was a journalist when I fell very ill with a brain disease, which I still have although Ive made a decent recovery. I had to accept journalism could no longer be my career because I also suffer from fatigue and it is a very demanding job.
I found myself in various unskilled part time jobs that bored me senseless, and in the end I had to go into charity work in order to use my writing and PR skills. I also have a part-time job as an administrator.
Get in touch with the Shaw Trust - they give you financial and practical support in finding and returning to work after an accident or illness. Best of luck.

one of my best friends is a guy, he had brain surgery. he went to beauty school. don't laugh, he is very good. it just takes him a long time ...........................and he is not GAY even he laughs at that.
I wouldn't mention anything about it during the interview. Consider the fact that your performance might be awesome, in spite of your own lack of confidence. So make no mention of it again.
Don't worry about the day after tomorrow. Work today as best you can. You need self-confidence, so build on the fact that you CAN DO IT.
You see, you may not have FAILED the interview because you were honest about that. You probably showed a lack of confidence. Start feeling good about yourself again and look the part.
I don t know what your city, town or government offers, but here where i am you can tell you the human resources department of certain offices who are there to help situations like yours will assisst people, even doing the leg work for them. The individual only has to describe to them in detail exactly what they want and or need. This prevents having direct contact with the employer until they know who they are hiring and it may offer more avenues.
I dont know if this has been of any help to you but the best advise i can offer is, ..dont give up !
ask your gp
