Does Klonopin cause hair loss?

Question:
My doctor recently prescribed me a low dose of Klonopin. The information that came with the prescription lists hair loss as one of the side effects. Does this happen often to people taking Klonopin?

Answers:
I have personally seen many people who have complained of hair loss from Klonopin. Many of the anticonvulsant medications have this unfortunate side effect. In many cases in four to six weeks after stopping the loss stops.

Other Answers:
I've taken it before, and I never had that side effect.mostly it makes you tired. I think hair loss is probably one of those really really rare side effects that they are just obligated to list.
no it doesnt happen often most side effects listed are rare
No it does not cause hair loss.
I was on klonopin and know many people who take it and no one that I know of has had this experience. This doesn't mean that it's not a side effect. When they test drugs for side effects if just one or two people have had this experience they have to list it by law.
