what is clinical depression?
Has anyone dealt with withdrawl from xanax?
Answers:
There are two types of depression you are probably trying to differentiate between. It is normal to experience situational depression when someone you care about dies, when you lose a job or break up with a spouse. When the depression doesn't go away, becomes chronic, or appears for no reason (no situation to bring it on) -and when it interferes with your ability to function- then it's considered "clinical" depression.
That's when you seek professional help. Counseling sometimes helps. When it's clinical there is some chemical imbalance in the brain. That's when medication can make a difference.
