My friends don't understand I am just REALLY sad and my mom won'tbelieve me please help I don't wanna be so sad

Answers:
I had the same exact problem. I was depressed, my mom ignored me, by dad ignored me and is an alcoholic. Just be careful, don't act out! Don't do anything crazy or they will stuff you in a mental hospital and put you on a TON of drugs. Talk to your mom, tell her you are depressed, do not mention suicidal unless you really are, because the will lock you up and put you on drugs. Be stong, being a teenager is very emotional and hormonal. Mostly it is your hormones, your parents or lack thier of, and perhaps some genetic depression.
Write poems, stories, keep a diary. Try to find things that make you happy.
EAT RIGHT AND GET EXCERSIZE! This is SUPER important. Talk to a medical doctor first.
Tell your mom to take you to the doctor for a physical check up, don't make a big deal, then once you get to your primary, talk to him/her and tell them how you feel, he might recommend a shrink. Shrinks can be good and very bad, just be very careful. DON"T ACT CRAZY TO GET ATTENTION THIS WILL DO YOU NO GOOD AND MUCH BAD.
Take care.
Contact me if you need to talk.

What's your reason for depression? Well, you may want to see a docter. But here is my advice - look at life at a different angle. Follow that raven into shadow, and you will find the light. I promise. Take a deep breathe and relax. Life is worth living. I think maybe you shouldn't take anymore of those quizzes it will only help to make you even more depressed. I know becuase I get depressed sometimes.
And If you can't find someone to talk to you can always email me. I am almost always checking my yahoo email.

I know what you are going thru. I feel for ya. You need to find some one who will listen. Depression is not something to take lightly. Try to find some one you can talk to. www.family.org , or 1-800-A-FAMILY may be able to help. They will deffinately listen & be able to give good advice as to what to do. Wish I could help more. If it is ok - I'll pray for you.

Hi sweetie.I know you're feeling sad and crappy at this time, it must have been a really difficult time for you. I have been with a depressed person for some time too and still am. It's not your fault that you feel sad okie. o('u')o *hug* Talking to a counsellor would be good because what you need most now, is someone who would be able to just sit there with you, listen, and give you that emotional support and encouragement. You can drop me a message anytime when you feel down okie? :)

1) NOTHING lasts forever, so don't let yourself believe you'll "feel like this forever".

2) Get to a doctor, NOW. Bring along a print-out of your question if you don't feel like talking. If your mom won't help you get to a doc, then get yourself to a clinic; even an emergency room. There are also mental health Helplines, both community based and national. 1 (888) 7WE-HELP is one, 1-800-662-HELP (1-800-662-4357) is another. Look in your local phone book. Also you have the option, a good one, of talking to your counselor or nurse at school, a trusted teacher or adult relative other than your mom. The important thing is TALK to somebody who'll listen.

3) I've been there. And now I'm out. You can be free, too. And better. And back into life. I promise.

Hi there sweetie: I know exactly how you feel, I've been fighting serious depression for many many years. One thing I have learned is that it's very important to get a support system going, ie: psychiatrist, therapist, and medication. If your mom won't believe you talk with, your principal, or if you have counselors at school talk with them. If that doesn't work talk with a doctor or nurse. If you have a mental health clinic in town, just go and talk with someone there. It's IMPORTANT to get a system going as quick as possible, because maybe the sad feelings may not go away, but at least having someone to talk with will help you deal with all the feelings. And that's what we have to do is recognize that we have a problem and do the best we can to survive it. Hang in there sweetie you are not the only one
