How do I tell my dad he has OCPD?

OCPD is Obsessive-Compulsive-Personali... Its a disease where people only see in black and white and think they are completetly perfect. But I mean, its more complicated then that but seriously. Sometimes it scares me and I just want to runaway. I fyou have anything too say, just say it.

OCPD is kinda hard cos from my understanding people with OCPD don't experince it as distressing like people whp suffer from OCD... Maybe approach the issue gently with your dad if you're concered, print some info perhaps (OCD Foundation website is tierrific) and discuss it with your dad- but the key is approach it tentatively.. don't say YOU HAVE OCPD... say, have you heard of this.. maybe you have it? Or something to that degree...

And yes someone said earlier, perhaps talk to a physician abt it too.. so you have a good understanding of it and how to deal with it, the physician may have tips abt approaching it with your dad too.

It's not really up to you to tell your dad. Talk to his physician about his problems.
