How do I know if it's depression or if I'm just stressed out and tired?

Question:
Does anyone know what the basic symptoms of depression are? I am curious if this is what my problem is. I am a stay at home mom of 3 boys and not sure if what I am experiencing is just normal or if there is more to it. I dont have insurance yet (will in about a month) and want to know if the symptoms I have are those of depression.

Answers:
You might want to start with a good rest, do away with your routines and do something you have been wanting to do for yourself or get something nice for yourself like a dress etc. Try this for a day or two. This should relieve you of your stress and tiredness. However, if you still continue to feel down, it can be due to depression. Depression is not to be taken lightly. Do talk to your spouse about it as emotional support from your family is very important. Do seek professional help if necessary.
