VOLUNTEER AT A HOSPITAL, GET TO KNOW PEOPLE, OBSERVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AS YOU WILL HAVE TO BE A MD OR DO BEFORE YOU DO A PSYCHIATRIC RESIDENCY
start eating NUTS right away.

You`ll be all NUTS by the time you grow up.

And when you are a grownup NUT, you cant eat anymore NUTS, and only a NUT can help you. But your type of NUT can be helped by nobody else, so you yourself become a NUT doctor to treat your own NUT.

HOWZZZAT?
The answer is plain and simple. Start picking up some books. Read as much as you and on the subejct and study your *** off. Then when it's time to go to college you have enough of an idea of what to expect in the classes that you'll need to take.
the nation runaway switchboard is always looking for volunteers. i did this in HS and it was very helpful for developing, empathy and good listening skills. which you will need in order to be a good psychiatrist.
I would certainly not mention your youqa.com name to anyone when applying ha ha ha.

Well, to become a psychiatrist you will have to study to become a doctor initially, then go on to specialize after your MD.

Find out what subjects and grades the med schools are looking for, this will tell you what subjects you will need to study.

I do not know about the US system, but to do clinical psychology for example here is the UK, students needed to have some 'work experience' in the field.

If you have a careers person in school, go and talk to them and tell them what you would like to do. Also write to the med schools directly and simply ask them for information. It will be a lot of hard work and dedication and I hope you do well. Good luck.
I'm a psychology student and you can add me to your friend's list if you would like.
