Remember why you are becoming a doctor. Remember that giving up is for the weak. You have made it this far. Through college, into medical school. You are not weak. Dieing is easy, life is hard. Don't take the easy road, it leads to nowhere. You are not alone in this, believe me, I have been through many depressions spout. Just remember that whatver happens, you must continue on.
Call the suicide hot line. You must be smart if you're in med school. So be smart and stay alive. You may be the answer to cancer or something great.
You have posted this same things several times already. Obviously, you are not getting the help you need here. Please call an ambulance or have a friend take you to your nearest emergency room and get some treatment....

Good Luck!
I don't have a medical background (unless you count first aid), but I used to go through what you're going through right now and I'm only 23 years old. Actually, i still go through it, but it doesn't sound like I got it as bad as you do.

The pain will always be there, man. I've gone through numerous psychiatrists and counsellors and, yeah, I know, it seems like they don't listen to you. But, hey, you know what? We're different from the rest of the regular people. We think in a different wave-length then them and that makes us unique.

You say you're a med student. I'm in law enforcement, and the way I do things is so unorthodox that it makes my bosses wonder how I came up with it. I'm sure it'll be like that with you too once you get into your field. People'll look up to you and wonder how you perform "miracles". And you know what? You don't have to tell them anything. Just be humble about it and there's your self-esteem right there. We're both in a similar boat, dude; we're in a profession that allows us to help people in a thankless job (well maybe mine is more thankless than yours) and that's something to be proud of and to keep living for. I still want the pain to go away by death, but you know what? I want to die doing my job, and that's by helping people not die themselves. Die for something you believe in, and not for nothing.
hey dont be depressed.life is really good if u look at it closely.live life king size and enjoy life to the fullest.i am not from med background but just wanted to make u smile atleast for a sec........hope it does.good luck dear.may god help u.bye.
Hi!. Im daki, a medical technologist you may catch me from Yahoo IM or email me. I may be able to help you.
you sholuld always try to be with other people.never be alone.try to delete the problems due to which you have reached this state, from your life.. concentrate on your studies.take a book "you can win" from your library and whenever free go through it. keep busy dont take tensions i think you have a lot of people behind to support you. talk to someone elder.this will certainly solve your problems.
depression comes when you can no longer hold on to your problems but remember that problems are just temporary and everybody has it, and it's just a matter of how you handle it. Dont let problems govern you but you should govern your problems .Believe that other people have bigger problem than yours and if they can handle it why can't you.
Well it seems as though someone is seeking a little attention. The biological apparatus of a suicidal person would usually make them extremly reluctant to post this kind of a question in a public manner. However I will give you the benefit of the doubt though. Suicidal tendancies are usually caused by one of two things. Your brain produces two main chemicals, one is Seratonin the other is Dopamine. Usually your brain produces an equall amount of each. When there is an imbalance that causes one of many numerous symptoms to occur. One of which is depression which can lead to suicidal thoughts. Now the cause of that imbalance can be hereditary or caused by traumatic experiences, and very rarely can occur later on in life with no history of such imbalances. Now the tricky part is treating these problems. In order for medication to be a definative solution you have to be absolutly positive that there were no traumatic experiences that caused your depression. If not then the only way to determine exactly what you need you have to have a very expensive test ran on your brain to find out exactly what chemical you are producing too much or not enough of. Most doctors will not even suggest this as an option. They usually take educated guesses and continue to play with different drugs until they get the right one. I believe most of the time depression is caused by PTSD. In which case medicine will never be able to supplement the imbalance entirely. You just need to know that we are all made up of energy. Energy cannot be destroyed, it is scientific law. If you were to kill yourself you will not cease to exist. Your energy will continue to carry on and your depression will still be there. Our bodies are just a shell to what we really are, and killing yourself destroyes that shell but not what is causing the pain in your life. Take care and continue to search for help. I wish you the best.
Okay, well I have no medical background, but I do want to be a forensic psychologist one day and have interests in that area. Please, don't kill yourself! I beg of you! There are people that love you so much that it'd be like killing them if you commited suicide. You have a bright future ahead of you, just wait and see! And pray about it, just pray. Jesus didn't die on the cross for you just so you could kill yourself, he knows you have a purpose in life and so do I. Call a hotline or talk to a professor (since you're a med student) or someone close to you, face to face about this, okay? But if you want to, you can IM at: mary_beth333@hotmail.com or email me, or email me at mary_beth303@yahoo.com.

~*cheers*~
you know by being a med student you are a million times better at coming up at an than an answer than me, but if its the pressures thats killing you then just give up. not in life but in living up to everyones expectations. i gave up a pre med degree to become nothing better than a bartender, but hey i'm supporting myself and forget what everyone else thinks. i own my own house which is better than 90% of my family. you just have to follow ourself and now everyone else. if i'd done what everyone wanted me to do then i'd have killed myself a long time ago, you need to follow your own self and not everyone else. dn't be what people expect you to be. i know a guy that used to mow lawns for a living for minimum wage and now he's a multimillionaire with no high school diploma. its all about following the beat of your own drum and nobody elses. trust me!! normal people just become...well normal....
