Is it weird that my phobia is the ocean?

Question:
And snakes. Oooh. Just imagine. A snake in the ocean. No escape!!

Answers:
heard of the movie "snakes on a plane" ?

anyway, i don't think its any weirder then Arachibutyrophobia-the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth or Octophobia - Fear of the figure 8.

Other Answers:
you can know why you had those phobias by hipnotic therapy, it really helps you.

No,it's not weird,I'm scared of that stuff too. No of course not that is actually a common fear(phobia).

Don't worry, you get used to it, but do still have a respect for the ocean or any large waters. A water living snake can't normally climb up in a boat and they don't do, but don't leave any wire or something similar into the water, because they can climb that.

No, not when you think about all the creatures in the water, being eaten little by little by fish! And then there is the strength of the waves and currents, they could knock you down and then drown you, grind you up on the rocky bottom or smash you into the coral reef!

And forget the snakes! Imagine a giant python hunting you, or even worse, surrounded by angry rattlers!

Or surrounded by jumping tarantula's!!

Now look what you have gone and done! Now I'm freaked!

How could that possibly be weird? When other people are terrified of the tiniest bug in their house? Or of even walking outside of their house? Riding in an elevator, the sight of trains, flying in an airplane, turning crazy -- these are all common fears that people have. Fear of the ocean is not weird at all. Nor is snakes -- that's actually quite common. (I'm not necessarily afraid of them, but I wouldn't be too keen on meeting one on a nice summer afternoon.)

So no worries. If you want to get over your fears, you can see a therapist who will help you. Otherwise, just stay away from the ocean, and stay away from snakes. No worries, really, right? Good luck!
