I take 500 mg. of seroquel every night, what is that doing to my liver?

I have had liver problems --major problems....but I only take 25mg of seroquel each night...so far after 5 months my liver funciton tests are coming back normal.

sorry, i don't know. I take Zyprexa. 2.5 mg. daily; i've never taken Seroquel. My sis take Seroquel, but she only takes 100 mg. per day; she takes hers at nite and has been on it several mo's and it still causes her to fall asleep bout one hr. to 1 and one half hour AFTER she takes it. Also, she feels sleepy during most of the following day, everyday. She does pretty good on it, but take about half the amount (dosage) that her Doc prescribed for her; she's afraid she will need far too much sleep IF she takes larger dosage! --- I take only 2.5 mg. of Zyprexa & it causes me to sleep 12 to 20 hrs. --about half of ea. week. have been back on it 3 yrs! Best Wishes; So far my liver tests are Normal; had it checked last mo. and thus far--i've not been diagnosed with Diabetes ( it seems that lots of persons become Diabetic - who take zyprexa and also who take Seroquel, (i think i read! ).

not much of anything...everything you eat/drink affects the liver, not just meds. some meds have a harder time and take longer being processed out by it, just as do alcoholic drinks. the condition of the liver beforehand actually determines a lot in and of itself. as for it being a possible side effect, everything from bananas to meds to smog has a potential to cause a side effect in someone in the world. 500 mg of seroquel is not all that much or uncommon, either, and fully within the prescribed range. lesser doses are usually just to help calm one a bit or help them sleep at night. heck, i gave a juvenile 400 mg at work last night--and even his liver is functioning fine....

Now It figuers ! The medicine u taking is affecting also ur brain (multi-personal.). Trying to come out as a nice guy in one answer or question, an a*shole or racest in others. Go to the Hospital & stay there. Stop bugging as with ur stuppidity . Advice, don't attac people integrities when answering, because ur hidding behind ur pc screen & momy's skirt sissy boy. U wouldn't dare me face to face because i will knock u flat on ur stinking but. Thanks for the 2 points. U not worse my time unless i see u face to face & that could be aranged because i travel a lot.
