I Don't Know What's Wrong With me. Read This and Give Me an Opinion on What I should do?

It takes a great deal of determination to change. You have to focus on that little side of you, the side that wants to change and consequently posted this question in the first place. Imagine that it's the dominant side of you, and make it tell yourself "What the hell!" everytime you feel like you're slipping into these 'spurts'. If necessary, say it loudly and force yourself to get moving. Also try to make a daily schedule, set reminders on your PDA or mobile with annoying alarm sounds that you just can't ignore. Don't overload the schedule with too much tasks, keep it minimum so you'd know you wouldn't be too lazy to do them, but just enough to make sure that you don't have food piled around your bed!

That's your personality. Don't worry about changing yourself. Try liking and loving yourself and the changes you need will happen on their own.

Human nature is a very strange thing...
It sounds like depression, but I am not a Dr. and even if it is it could be chemical or related to a frustraion with life that is normal, talk to a Dr. but really think about what's going on in your life also.
Sounds very much like depression. You really need to talk to someone.
Depression, you're not the only one who has gone through it.
Believe ME, Its the toughest when you don't even realize whats going on around you....
I recently went through this sort of thing, The only thing I can say, Is never lose hope!
You are in a rut! A rut is a grave with no ends! Change do something different even if it is wrong! You have got to break the cycle!
If you asked a doctor why your foot hurts after you droped a anvil on it he would say "depression". Don't listen to the depression people. Don't change, just accept that that is a part of who you are. I'm sure the stress of worring about the mess makes a mole hill into a mountain. By the way let me know if anyone has seen my mouse , it was lost in a sea of dr pepper cans on my desk. Also I must warn you about crystaliceberg, she smokes airplaine glue.carte blanche wanting to be your soul mate, I hear that guy is the bomb, he has a 12 inch.............................
ruler in his desk drawer. And don't worry I saw a bi polar at the zoo once it was nasty, but im sure your not like her.
Try to have a soul-mate and you will develop interest in everything. You can start with me. Welcome.
It does sound like you have some sort of depression, even if mildly. If these spurts come often or frequently I think I would see a doctor. It is possible you have a chemical imbalance and he could prescribe something to keep you on a more even keel all the time. Good luck to you, I hope you find a solution.
You should spend more time with your friends. Whenever you get that "spurts",you should tell your best friend and let him/her to stay beside you and encourage you. Go shopping or watching movies that amuse you or.... something like that. Never stay alone when you feel like something's wrong with you. That will be OK. Good Luck!
Depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme Disease, Anemia just to name a few. Do yourself a favor and turn off your computer and go to the Doctor and get a blood test, etc. The answer may be easier to fix than you think. Good Luck
If this condition has a profound impact on the way that you live your life it could be and sounds like clinical depression. This is often caused by a chemical imbalance of seratonin, norepinephrine or sometimes dopamine. You should discuss this with a doctor who can better evaluate your situation. No need to feel embarassed. This condition affects millions of people in this country alone. Please speak to a professional.Try to find things about your self that are unique and special in the mean time
you sound just like me
wow. you cycle quickly, I run in about 6 month cycles. and god do those 6 months SUCK. I totally know what you mean. I find talking to a friend who has gone through some depression issues is helpful, talking to your family healthcare provider or if need be meds.
one thing I would say doesn't really help is talking to friends who dont have or dont understand depression. they won't understand and will tell you to "just snap out of it!"
or sometimes helpful to me is FORCING yourself to clean the house or getting doing whatever it is that is keeping you in the state of depression. (easier said than done!)
another thing I dont find helpful is blowing large amounts of money. (did that tonight and now the self loathing is setting in.)
hope I gave you some ideas, good luck!
Taco.
Well I'm in nursing , I'm no Dr but sounds to me like Bipolar!! I myself am Bipolar , and if you dont get help it could get worse.I think you should see a DR!! Because with bipolar in a manic stage you can do some crazy weird things!! I know i have been there and there is BP1 and Bp2 ! Also when you lay in the bed that's the other side which is depresson!! Which booth are very serious please see a DR !! I wish you well it's a long hard road that family , friends and meds can make so much easier!!
One thing you might do is evaluate your diet and exercise routines. Consistent exercise, including walking for 20 to 30 minutes each day, can help to even out your mood swings. Substituting water for soft drinks (including pepsi, which I also like a lot) helps to stabilize mood too.
Going to bed at the same time each night and making sure that your sleeping room is dark so that you get a chance at adequate rest is critical. No music, no TV to fall asleep by, no reading yourself to sleep.
It seems that you run yourself out of seratonin and then have to 'rest' for a few days to build it back up. If you exercise regularly, take your vitamins (ncluding some extra B vitamins) and get high quality sleep, you can give yourself less destructive ways to sustain your attitude and ability to cope.
Hello, gorgeous!
But seriously.
The problem has to do with the chemicals in your brain. The term has slipped my mind at the moment, but i believe it is a form of bipolar. Your bodies chemicals are out of whack. What your experiencing is what is referred to as a form of euphoria at one point and a deep depression at another. You really need to get in contact with a psychiatrist. They may prescribe lithium to even you out.
Maybe you should ask yourself what is bothering you. If there is something bothering you, solve it once and for all. If there is nothing bothering you, i dont think you are in depression. Maybe you are just taking a break for the moment.
Sounds like a form of bipolar. If these episodes or 'spurts' are disrupting your daily life (which it sounds like they might be) then my recommendation would be to see your doctor. He/she will ask you questions about how you feel during these times, your diet, how frequent, etc etc and will determine the best course of action.
Seeing a psychiatrist wont "cure" you, but it will help you better understand yourself and help guide you towards a healthy way to being comfortable with yourself.
Medication won't do anything if there's nothing chemically imbalanced with you, but if something is wrong, then it can be a big part of getting on with your daily life.
As to why you do that, it might not be 'you', it could be chemical defects in the brain. It could be that and also how you deal with it mentally and emotionally... all of which can change.
The most important thing to remember is that you don't need to live like that... change is possible, even if it will take time and lots of patience.
When did you start getting into these spurts? Was there any triggering event or series of events that lead to what you do now?
I believe there is always a cause that leads to one's change in behaviour. And to find out the cause, try going through some introspection. Keep a journal. Talk to your friends about this. Perhaps they can also shed some light on the question you are having right now.
Also, pay attention to how you feel when you get into these "spurts" and how you feel when you became aware of what you are doing. These feelings may give a clue as well.
When you have a better understanding of yourself and why you do this, you will know better how to change. Finding the root cause and solve it at the root will eventually kill these symptoms.
Otherwise, try to change your habits step-by-step (because you want to change for the better afterall!).
Hope this help... :)
Find something to believe in.
Fall in love, choose a sport and become good at it, travel away from everything (a Greek island maybe).
You re young and beautiful you will make it
Sounds like Depression to me.
I will see if I can track down a couple of sites that have short tests you can take and then print off to take to the Dr.
Things to think of when did this start?
Did anything new or traumatic happen around that time.
Are you under more stress than normal?
How is your concentration?
Do you still enjoy the things you used to like to do?
Depression can be treated, and you can feel better.

I have the same thing. I am currently on Zoloft and it helps a bit. I have had this for 10 years. I have been lucky enough to be able to employ a housekeeper.. but I seem to even feel worse as I watch another care for my home,, I have I have been told "Bipolar"is my problem , that seems to be a catch all pharse that has replaced the now infamous " nervous breakdown" people used in the 1970s.
i think something is worrying u...even i used to do the same.. i mean i used to throw my things here and there..and my mamma had to clean it all.. take a firm decision that u will keep evrything in its right place.. and imagine if u dont have good hair and if u dont take bath....will others come to u! ?? no they wont! imagine all on one side.. and u r alone on the other side! how will u feel?? think that and i am sure u will change within a few days
OK first, yes this does sound like it could be clinical depression. No biggie your family doc can help you with that. But you don't give enough information for anyone, not even someone that has had bi-polar for 32 years, say that you are bi-polar.
Bi-Polar is generally known by the mood swings that range from a high(mania) where you don't make good judgment calls period. To a depression that can be so low that some have suicidal thoughts. Some cycle through so fast that they get tagged a "rapid cycler" <me> I can cycle several times in a day at times.
Follow the link below and there is a box that can help you assess your risk, it also has a lot of info on anything you might want to look at.
Hope this helps.
i feel the exact same way. :(
see, you had the nerves to agree black people was lazy for this so i guess you're a lazy azz too. just goes to show worry about your ownself.
