Question:
Answers:
New meds, less side effects. Abilify, Geodon, Topamax, Lamictal, the first three being my first choices. i've been diag. bi polar for 6 years now and have tried most things out. If you want to know more email me. There is also a new med coming from England in about six months currently under the name of Salvov, but it will probably be different by the time it gets here.
You didn't say what meds you have been on in the past. Have you tried Risperdal? It works good!! I have a friend who has BPD also! This med seems to work for her. She is lucky; her Doctor sees her free of charge! And he gives her free samples every 4 weeks. Ask your doctor the next time you see one; for free samples. All Dr.'s have them! The drug Co. provide them; and the Dr.'s are suppose to give them out! Here, in the town where I live; There is a Mental Health facility, that bases your fee on your income! They provide therapy, group therapy, a visit with a Dr. once a week and your prescribed meds. I hope this has helped you! I wish you the best .....I hope you get the help you need! Oh, I almost forgot; you can go to WEBMD and ask about new meds for BPD and get info. about it too! This is a good website! You can also look up drug facts; like side effects and stuff like that.
