lexapro and drug/food interactions?

Question: Hi. I am on Lexapro for more than one week and feeling much better.
I was wondering what foods and drugs should I avoid while taking Lexapro. I also have chronic nasal congestion and allergies, is it OK to take Claritin-D(or any other decongestants) with the drug?

me too.... it says not to drink alcohol.. but i do have a beer once in awhile.. as for the meds.. there are some that you can not have.. talk to the pharmacist.... i take mine at night, so if i do need to take something the next day, its been enough time.. im glad you are feeling better.. it takes time and you will keep feeling better..it has helped me alot!!!

Check with your doctor about the Claritin D. My nursing book just says watch out for taking Ibuprophen and other NSAIDS.(anti-inflammatory drugs) that may in combination cause bleeding. Good luck on your therapy. I am glad you are feeling better.
