withdrawl pains need help?

Question:

Ok I was on some meds from my doctor called amitriptyline, and now she told me to stop taking them, because they were causing me problems. I am now having withdrawls from them and I need to know how to over come withdrawls quick. I have kept a headach since I stopped taking them. So please anyone who has any ideas please help. Thank you

Your withdrawal pains can last up to a month for it does take time to get certain medication out of your system. Also if your medication is causing you problems. Then staying off of them can save your life. So fight it with all your strength and take the good along with the bad........... But right now you are a winner and please stay a winner...........................

Your doctor should have weened you off of that amitriptyline (i use to take it) or given you something else....that's why some doctors just don't get it or just don't care......i would call him and ask him if there is something else he can give you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
