My Dad is bi polar. It was really hard on all of the kids growing up because he didn't get help. Once he got on medicine he was the best dad in the world. You just have to remember, it is a normal thing that is easily treated. Just keep you mood swings and anger and everything under control, and it'll be great! Good Luck!
I can totally relate I have been diagnosed for 2yrs now even though i could have been dx'ed(diagnosed) years ago. Do you have the manics and the severe depression?
Had a girl friend she was very sweet an loving one min. then sap she would switch an brake up the house distory every thing she had build including all relaships try to strangle her son with a dog coll or make on every one life around her "H" then blink back to fixing supper..one night I went for a loaf of bread an never went back
I went to a mental health care "professional" who met with me for 15 minutes, read a questionnaire I filled out, and tried to tell me I was bi-polar. She was wrong.
So, you may be bi-polar, but don't let them try to tell you anything you know to be wrong. They are not infallible.
